Photo A Day - August - Messy & Ring (catching up)

Catching up from yesterday -

A Mess Of  Teapots

TODAY - RING

This ring has family significance for me, but remains a mystery.
Can anyone tell me the significance of the letters on the ring and the symbol to the left?
The letters are x z p a & b which you can't see in the photo.
Another shot of the symbol - can you help solve the mystery?

    1. Lol Danette, the stash doesn't usually look this messy. I've been collecting quite a few 2nd hand metal teapots that I can just throw in a box and take with me to display the Cosies when I do markets. A few of them were thrown on top of the mess as well. The peach anodised one at the front was like my Mum's old teapot she used every day, but her's was pink - I would kill for a pink one!!

  2. Ahhh... my Mum had a little wee pink anodised tea pot 2 cup n the bigger one was orange think it was 4 or 6 cup... as for your ring have you looked into the Jewish faith? I'm sure I have seen writing like this n I was lead to believe it was Jewish... Red Velvet of Sydney might be able to help you - she has done a lot of research into Jewish faith in Australia... sorry just can't lay my hands on her blog... All the best with it... <3 B

    1. Wow Bethel, you know the reason I decided to do the Photo thing this month, was to put up a photo of the ring to find out some info. I didn't elaborate in the post, but we thought it might be Jewish or Freemason, but after searching these avenues, I still haven't been able to find any reference to the symbol or lettering. Thanks for the link in your other post, I'll definitely try to get in touch with that person - Thank You!
