Hello there,
I should explain.
I've been wondering lately about blogging. Really, I have thoroughly enjoyed all the long hours setting up, taking & editing my photos, writing posts & designing patterns to share for free, (like every other craft blogger), but I now find myself feeling a bit uneasy.
So I've ceased blogging.
I've decided to retain the blog, only keeping the free patterns that are already here, so it doesn't stuff up my Ravelry & other links to my patterns. My Kitty pattern is now printed & is currently being test knitted by a couple of friends, & will be for charity use at a later date, not sure where yet.
A really heartfelt thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments, &who joined the blog & have become regular followers over the past year. I'll still be reading all of your great blogs as I'll be dropping in to check on the blog every now & then while the patterns are still generating some traffic.
All photos & patterns that appeared on my blog remain my personal property.
It's a shame I didn't reach my 100 000 Views mark lol.
Naturally I'll still be designing Tea Cosies, knitting & crocheting.
Lots of love Jenny.
ETA - I've had a couple of queries about the Razzamatazz Cushion link so I've put the post back up, along with a post with a friend's webpage link on it.
Sorry to hear that. Your the second blog I've seen posting about upsetting correspondence they've received. People should really learn if they don't have something nice to say then they shouldn't say anything at all especially since no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. For what its worth I really enjoy your blog and have just finished your ripple tea cosy and I and everyone i've showed it too loves it.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry Jen, I have loved seeing your tea cosy patterns and toys. But when I read your title I thought yes I just feel like doing that myself, I to have been a little disheartened over my work and what I show and offer free sometimes. Theses feelings have been there for sometime now, You may find me right behind you on that one.
ReplyDeletebest wishes Julie.C
Hi Jen, that's such a shame to hear. I too have made your ripple cosy and am so inspired by your designs. Don't stop designing . . . you're very good at it. All the best! Belinda.
ReplyDeleteHi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI totally understand. I just started blogging AGAIN a few weeks ago. I blogged for about a year with a different blog and quit for about 3 years. It can become overwhelming in many ways. I am trying to keep it easy this time. I respect your decision. I do love all your beautiful designs & creations. Yours is always one of the first blogs I love to look at. You always make me smile.
Happy Days to You,
Danette
Hi Jen
ReplyDeleteYou shall be missed I also love your patterns and have made one of them your designs are terrific!
Sad but sometimes necessary. Maybe a break will rid the gremlins and stop the hauntings.
ReplyDeleteThanks all. I've put the comments on moderation to prevent spam, but if you have any queries to do with the patterns left here, I'll check it every now & then.
ReplyDeleteBye
Jen
I'm so sorry you're giving up but totally understand. I've REALLY enjoyed reading your blog and would like to thank you for all your wonderful patterns. I'm just about to start making your mouse tea cosy for my son, can I contact you if I have any problems?
ReplyDeleteThanks again
Yvonne
Thanks Yvonne that's lovely of you, of course leave a message if you get stuck. I've made quite a few mouse cosies now - Jen.

Thank you for having this blog, Jen. I just discovered it. So sorry that trolls have been unkind. You are extremely talented and your designs reflect a cheerful, whimsey-filled, sprite spirit. I look forward to seeing mob on Ravelry. Many Blessings, Alli
ReplyDeleteThank You Allison, I really appreciate your words - Jen.
DeleteYou're not going to blog anymore? Well I enjoy your blog and your creations, and I hope to hear more from you. You should just do it for you, and let those of us who enjoy it, enjoy it, and those that don't, stuff it.
ReplyDeleteSince you're on ravelry, though, my name is Kyla9493 please add me. I don't update it a lot but i would like to look at your stuff.
You are awesome!
Thank You...so much! - Jen.
