http://bakedrelief.org/ ,
It was setup by this lovely person, http://www.digella.blogspot.com/ to organise food to feed the thousands of people working in the flood damaged areas in Brisbane, & hopefully soon in the Lockyer Valley.
Last night I baked & DH dropped it into flood workers this morning, on his way through West End.
DH volunteered for work last Sunday, & will again this weekend by the sounds of it, & agreed any food is so appreciated. He also agreed wrapping everything individually was a must, because of the filthy conditions they're working in. Lot's of fruit, cold poppers are being requested as well, (Golden Circle Poppers are on sale at Woolies this week - 3 packs of 6 for $6, making them about 33c each- excluding pineapple juice - bargain lol). It's hellish hot in Brisbane today, hat's off to the people who are still turning up to volunteer in this heat!!!!
Anyway check out the website first, to get all the info. Here's my lot from last night, Apple & Cinnamon Muffins, Double Choc Muffins & Madeira Cakes - Jenny.
